Chickens average 3.5-4 lbs
Commonwealth Poultry's premium quality Pasture Raised Whole Chicken are the perfect choice for those who value wholesome and sustainable food options. This chicken is raised in a natural and stress-free environment.
At Commonwealth Poultry, the processing isn't an afterthought - it's an integral part of producing great-tasting chicken.
Around our house, we've got a Sunday tradition of roasting one of these chickens (sometimes 2!) for dinner. Not only do we get a wonderful Sunday dinner, but the leftovers are used for a few days afterward for lunches and dinners.

"I roasted a whole chicken yesterday and my family LOVED it! I kept it simple, just put a little salt in the cavity, roasted at 350 degrees for 90 minutes, basting a few times, and taking the roaster cover off for the last 30 minutes. It was plump, juicy, and SO TASTY and TENDER! We are looking forward to the leftovers and I am going to continue to get my chicken from Heartstone Farm!"

FARMER DAN: HOW WE SOURCE OUR CHICKEN
Our standards for chicken are high. It has to be wonderfully flavorful. The chickens must be all-natural, never receiving antibiotics or growth hormones. We insist on air-chilling in the processing to capture the true chicken flavor.
It’s really important to us that the chickens come from family farms - not factory farms.
I spent over a year looking for a great source of chicken for Heartstone Farm. I wanted to make sure I could stake my reputation on the chicken - and that's why I am so
proud to be working with Commonwealth Poultry in Gardiner, Maine.
Their standards for chicken are the highest - and they insist on quality every step of the way.
