100% Grass-fed and Grass-finished from Heartstone Farm

Our Heartstone Farm 100% grass fed chuck roasts are a thick cut of meat that makes the perfect “pot roast.” It has a rich, delicious flavor that makes it a classic main dish for a big home-cooked meal.

For tender, pull-apart meat, it should be slow cooked to allow time for the meat to soften and become juicy. Boneless!

"This was THE BEST roast we have ever eaten! I did not know beef was supposed to taste like this! It was fork tender!"

- Mark Stroud, Stetson, ME

RECIPES AND COOKING TIPS

Chuck roast is a relatively inexpensive cut of meat that starts out tough but becomes meltingly tender when you cook it using low temperatures and long, slow cooking methods. But if you treat it like a steak and try to cook it quickly with high heat, it rebels and gets dry and stringy. Whether you cook beef chuck roast using your stovetop, oven, slow cooker, or pressure cooker, low and slow is always the way to go.

Here are 50 recipes from Taste of Home for using chuck roast in everything from Shredded Beef Burritos to Philly Cheese Sandwiches.

FARMER DAN NOTES

My ex-mother-in-law made the best Yankee Pot Roast for Sunday dinners (meaning Sunday afternoon at 2). At first glance, Pot Roast is a relatively simple dish to prepare. But she must have had a secret ingredient because I've never quite matched her's. I'm pretty sure the secret ingredient was many cupfuls of Yankee love she had for all of us.

Here's a tribute I wrote to my mother-in-law's Yankee Pot Roast.
