We don't use mRNA vaccines

Have you heard this: Farmers and ranchers are required to inject livestock with mRNA vaccines?

It's all over the Internet.

And I’ve been receiving a lot of questions from our customers lately asking whether we use mRNA vaccines on our cattle, so I want to set the record straight.

First and foremost, I want to assure our customers that we do not use mRNA vaccines on our cattle. 

In fact, there are currently no mRNA vaccines licensed for use in beef cattle in the United States. 

As a responsible and transparent meat producer, I think it’s important to help you better understand this technology and address any concerns you may have about the use of mRNA vaccines in our animals.

To begin with, let's define what mRNA vaccines are. These vaccines use a small piece of genetic material called messenger RNA to instruct cells in the body to produce a specific protein found on the surface of a virus or bacteria. This protein triggers an immune response, allowing the body to build immunity against the actual pathogen.

One of the benefits of mRNA vaccines is that they can be developed and produced more quickly than traditional vaccines.  The mRNA technology was used to develop vaccines for humans for COVID-19.

But they are still experimental - the long term effects are not know. 

I want to reassure our customers that we do not use mRNA vaccines on our animals.

We do use non-mRNA vaccinations on our cattle primarily to prevent respiratory viruses and other viruses that cause diarrhea. One of the vaccines we use is called Bovishield Gold, which is administered as a shot under the skin. The other is Inforce Three, which is a nasal spray. 

It's important to note that the vaccines we use have been authorized for decades and are not mRNA vaccines. They have been proven to help keep our cattle healthy and are not experimental.

We do not use antibiotics.

We follow a protocol that no animal is processed within six months of receiving a vaccine. We have a farm veterinarian and we follow the established vaccination protocols and guidelines set by industry experts and regulatory bodies to ensure the health and safety of our animals and the quality of our products.

Our commitment to the health and safety of our animals and the quality of our products remains our top priority.

I eat our beef and serve it to my family four to five times a week - and we will not use unproven or untested vaccines on our cattle. 

You can rest assured that it's safe to eat beef from our cattle. 

So go ahead and do what I do - enjoy our all-natural, 100% grassfed beef - knowing it was raised the way nature intended.
